The Formerly Incarcerated People's Performance Project (FIPPP) believes the power of storytelling and sharing personal experiences from marginalized communities can be transformative. We help tell the often overlooked, powerful, individual stories of the formerly incarcerated around the experience of prison. We help formerly incarcerated people develop and share their experiences and wisdom learned with the goal of changing the world for the better one story at a time. FIPPP provides a space for voices that need to be heard and works to develop and present the unheard stories of those impacted by incarceration and the justice system to provide greater understanding for us all.
We also offer both sliding scale priced tickets and also free community tickets with costs covered by our generous donors and our show ticket buyers. This ensures that these powerful stories can be heard and experienced by everyone and no one will be turned away from the Formerly Incarcerated People's Performance Project's workshops or festival shows due to a lack of funds.
FIPPP couldn't do our work to transform hearts and minds or share these powerful stories around the Bay Area without our partners, affiliate and funders.
